If you want to visit, and experience the true warmth and beauty of Cyprus I can only suggest that you stay in an authentic traditional taverna. The Tsiakkas tavern (pronounced Chackas) is situated only a few feet from the Mediterranean sea. there are four one bedroom self contained apartments each are capable of sleeping four adults.

The apartments are situated above the truly authentic TSIAKKAS TAVERN.  

This Taverna is situated between the town of Paphos and Coral bay. This is a place of beauty and relaxation. The area is quiet relaxing and above all peaceful. The accommodation is clean and of a good standard. There are all the facilities that you may require and if there is something that you want the host and hostess are more than willing to help provide it.

The hosts are George and his wife Andri there are also the children Yannis and Natasha. As is the normal practice in Cyprus the family are an integral part of the running of the family business. Extended family members are all ways visiting to pass the time of day and keep up to date with the happenings of the day.

the warm and friendly atmosphere that surrounds the whole establishment. You are treated as a friend and become part of the family for the time that you are lucky enough to be there. Relaxation is the name of the game whilst you are there. The fact that they have the cheapest cocktails in the vicinity is also a bonus.

The taverna has large open windows that allow the cool sea breezes to waft through the taverna and provide a welcoming coastal atmosphere. Georges wife Andri is responsible for the traditional Cypriot food that is always enjoyed here. There is a large and extensive menu available with all dishes prepared in the traditional way. The taverna is capable of hosting wedding receptions and catering for 150 people. A traditional Cypriot wedding reception is a sight to behold. The new Cocktail bar is also available with a range of 50 different cocktails all made by George and Yannis.

The accommodation

The accommodation comprises of four one bedroom flats that can be rented out as required. There are twin beds in the bedroom and a fold down settee in the main living area. there is also a fold down bed available if required.

The kitchen comes with toaster, coffee maker, kettle and a two ring gas cooker is also available complete with all necessary kitchen utensils. Also available is a fridge / freezer and for the lady's an iron and ironing board. Clean beading is available as and when required.

All that you have to remember whilst in Cyprus is that the place is full of character and good will, where else would you see the an elderly villager passing on his knowledge of drafts to a local youth.
